According to this site ( http://tuisnider.com/2013/04/06/a-to-z-the-six-flags-of-texas/  )

“Simply envision some wadded up flags in your mind, which will help you remember the phrase: state flags might really crumple up. The first letter of each word matches the first letter of each flag that flew over Texas – in the correct order, too boot. Easy, huh?”

Remember that Gonzales is where they Come and Take It Flag is –

Y’all Go’n & COME AND TAKE IT = Go’n = Gonzales
Sarah Seely DeWitt, Empresario Green DeWitt’s wife, designed the First Flag. She and her daughter, Naomi, cut up Naomi’s wedding dress to make the “Come and Take It” in late September after Naomi DeWitt married William A. Matthews on August 8, 1835 in Austin Colony.
