Christmas Chocolates

In addition to fudge and carmel corn and cookies, these are the  candies I make for Christmas.

This year I’m making GF Oreo Truffles using Glutino chocolate vanilla creme cookies.

CHERRY MASH CANDY

More Cherry Mash Ball recipes –

LOVE the tip here to “dust hands with powder sugar when rolling mixture into small balls – this helps mixture from sticking to your hands”.

This recipe uses jello for the cherry flavor!

Ingredients

1/2 stk margarine
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 lb confectioners’ sugar
1 bx vanilla frosting mix (dry)
1 pkg cherry jello (small size, dry mix)
8 oz maraschino cherries, drained, dried, chopped in blender
1/2 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
10 oz unsalted peanuts, crushed
18 oz chocolate chips, either milk chocolate or semi-sweet
1/2 oz paraffin (1/8 of a bar

BON BONS – CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES

from COOKS.COM

2 lbs. powdered sugar
1/4 lb. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. almond extract or vanilla
1 lg. pkg. Angel Flake coconut
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
Cherries or nuts (opt.)
Combine powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, coconut and condensed milk.
Roll into a ball with a cherry in middle or into small balls. Chill in refrigerator.
DIPPING:
1 lg. pkg. chocolate chips
2/3 bar shaved paraffin
Melt over hot water and dip balls into chocolate on toothpick. Use the milk can to melt paraffin the mix with chocolate chips.
