Stacey’s Easy Lasagna

This recipe came from my sister Stacey.  I’ve been making it since the year 2000.

No precooking of pasta needed!

  1. 8 ounces lasagna noodles
  2. 1 pound ground beef
  3. 32 ounces spaghetti sauce
  4. 1/2 – 3/4 cup water
  5. 1 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  7. 16 ounces ricotta cheese (can use cottage cheese instead)
  8. 3 cups mozzarella cheese — shredded
  9. 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Brown beef, drain.
Add sauce, water, salt and simmer for 5 -10 min.

In 9×13” pan layer 1/3 of the sauce on bottom of pan.
Place 1/2 of the uncooked noodles on top of sauce in pan, layer 1 cup ricotta cheese (I spread it on the noodles before laying them in the pan), 1/3 of the sauce, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
Repeat above, ending with cheeses.

Cover with foil. Bake at 350* for 55-60 min.
Remove foil and let stand for 10 min. before serving.

*Serve with garlic bread (there is a yummy frozen brand texas toast) and lettuce salad
